In Africa, policy makers are grappling with the paradox of minerals endowment and access to capital markets that require solid transitions towards net zero targets. Impact investing has affected development of local policies, with Governments leading the charge to remain both investor friendly and driving sustainable communities where jobs are created, education works at all levels and partnerships are forged towards more ESG gains for all stakeholders. In South Africa the Code for Responsible Investing in SA (CRISA) has produced one of the first requirements for institutional investors and service providers to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues into their investment decisions.\u00a0ESG Frontiers\u00a0<\/em>hopes to be the platform for companies and state-owned entities that have embraced the urgency to align themselves with global trends towards sustainability in environmental, social and governance (\u201cESG\u201d) considerations. We will focus on the Energy and Resources Sectors, Financial and investment community, Technology, State-opened entities and policy debates that are shaping ESG decisions amongst Stakeholders.\u00a0ESG Frontiers\u00a0<\/em>will work collaboratively with Universities and think-tanks that have sparked significant research into the integration of sustainable practises in business, the management of transitions, and ESG impact.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

About the Founder of ESG Frontiers (Africa)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lloyd Nedohe is a distinguished professional in Mining Public Policy and the founder of ESG Frontiers, a prominent publication dedicated to advancing thought leadership in sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives across various sectors, including mining and energy. His extensive background includes a role as a researcher at the University of Johannesburg\u2019s DSI\/NRF\/Newton Fund Trilateral Chair in Transformative Innovation, focusing on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Sustainable Development.<\/p>

Nedohe has held senior positions in Risk Management, Public Affairs, and Regulatory Advisory at major corporations such as BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto, City of Johannesburg as well as the Development Bank of Southern Africa, and has advised leading mining entities in the Platinum Belt and gold on policies, regulation and ESG. He holds dual master’s degrees\u2014an MBA and an MA in ICT Policy and Regulation from Wits University\u2014and is currently pursuing a PhD in Critical Minerals and the battery value chain. In addition to his policy work, Nedohe serves as an advisor in renewable energy and sustainable innovation within global value chains and contributes as a Broadcaster on multiple platforms. His multifaceted expertise positions him as a key figure in the dialogue surrounding the integration of sustainability within the mining sector and beyond.<\/p>
