Lloyd Nedohe is a distinguished professional in Mining Public Policy and the founder of ESG Frontiers, a prominent publication dedicated to advancing thought leadership in sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives across various sectors, including mining and energy. His extensive background includes a role as a researcher at the University of Johannesburg’s DSI/NRF/Newton Fund Trilateral Chair in Transformative Innovation, focusing on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Sustainable Development.

Nedohe has held senior positions in Risk Management, Public Affairs, and Regulatory Advisory at major corporations such as BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto, City of Johannesburg as well as the Development Bank of Southern Africa, and has advised leading mining entities in the Platinum Belt and gold on policies, regulation and ESG. He holds dual master’s degrees—an MBA and an MA in ICT Policy and Regulation from Wits University—and is currently pursuing a PhD in Critical Minerals and the battery value chain. In addition to his policy work, Nedohe serves as an advisor in renewable energy and sustainable innovation within global value chains and contributes as a Broadcaster on multiple platforms. His multifaceted expertise positions him as a key figure in the dialogue surrounding the integration of sustainability within the mining sector and beyond.
